As a Senior Associate at Flagship Pioneering, David conceives, creates, resources, and builds first-in-category companies spanning agriculture, nutrition, and therapeutics industries. David cofounded Senda Biosciences and Montai Health and currently leads the iLabs Innovation team at Invaio. As part of this team of entrepreneurial scientists, he develops the science, intellectual property, and business strategy that form the foundation of the firm’s breakthrough startups. An engineer by training, David has a multidisciplinary background in materials science, stretchable electronics, microfluidics, and bioengineering. Prior to joining Flagship, David earned his Ph.D. at Harvard University where he focused on 3D bioprinting of vascularized tissues, where his work has been adopted broadly as a method for creating in vitro models.
