Next-Gen Materials Lookbook: February 2024

We’re excited to release our second in the series of our monthly ‘lookbooks’, highlighting the most exciting collaborations in next-gen materials from February 2024.
In the report we’ve showcased 16 collaborations featuring next-gen materials innovators like Modern Meadow, Circ, Ponda, MycoWorks and more. Global  brands including BMW, Reformation and Stone Island debuted new products made from next-gen leather, silk, wool and fur alternatives.
Highlights include:
  1. At London Fashion Week, Patrick McDowell’s A/W ‘24 collection, “Orpheus Ball”, used Lenzing’s TENCEL™ LUXE to create orchestra-inspired designs.
  2. BioFluff’s plant-based Savian fur was featured in an oversized sweater, along with Ponda’s wadding
  3. Reformation, together with activist Monica Lewinsky and Vote.org, released a new collection of workwear essentials as part of their “You’ve Got the Power” voting campaign. The collection features a multitude of styles made from Lenzing’s TENCEL™ Lyocell.
  4. BMW is offering a completely vegan interior for their new all-electric BMW i5 Touring model. The car is upholstered with their proprietary Veganza material made from recycled plant material and is scheduled to launch in May in Europe and June for the rest of the world.
